Studio Dancers & Dogs Combined Adoptable Animals with Ballet Dancers to Produce Adoptable Animal Photography

Kelly Pratt and Lan Kreidich are photographers who explore their talent and passion while making a positive impact on the world. This time, their studio, Dancers & Dogs, decided to produce a series of adoptable animal photography. They have been doing it for the past 6 years continuously. Pratt and Kreidich combined professional ballet dancers from Saint Louis Ballet with adoptable pets from Stray Rescue of St.Louis. This photo series is named “Muttcracker”. Although this project is a different experience for both dancers and animals, it indeed helps those animals to find loving families and homies as well.

The Studio has incorporated cats and dogs of different ages ranging from young to old for this adoptable animal photography project. They skillfully combined those cats and dogs with ballet dancers on pastel blue and pink backgrounds. Ballet dancers have dressed in colourful and elegant costumes to enhance the attractiveness of the photographs. However, the crew of Dancers & Dogs has decided not to keep animals in fancy dresses. Nevertheless, dancers and animals mutually uplift the beauty of each other. Their combination showcases how important it is for these animals to receive love and care from their own families.

While explaining the inspiration behind “Muttcracker”, Dancers & Dogs says that their goal is to bring joy and calm to the audience. Usually, ballet dancers are so concerned about their movements, expressions, and positions while dancing. But here, what all they have to do is share the frame with playful cats and dogs. It brings a smile to the viewer’s face unknowingly.

The most important part of this adoptable animal photography project is the support it provides to these shelter animals to find new homes. Photographers’ creativity and vision have done a great job in that aspect of this project. These photo series invite us to pay more attention to these innocent animals who are looking forward to enjoying the rest of their lives with a loving family.
